Greater Atlanta Electric League (GAEL) was founded in 1989. It’s the only professional association in the greater Atlanta area that represents the entire electrical industry.GAEL provides a forum for manufacturers, distributors, manufacturer’s reps, inspectors, electrical utilities, electrical engineers and electrical contractors to gather and discuss their mutual tribulations and opportunities.
GAEL’s objective is to be recognized as an organization that promotes a better understanding and cooperation among the various branches of the electrical industry through improved communications. We want to encourage ethical values within the electrical industry to enhance the professional standing of the membership in the community. GAEL also wants to help promote education of its members, not only in industry matters, but also in business and political affairs.
In addition, each year GAEL sponsors a SCHOLARSHIP FUND. Over the past several years, we have awarded $4000 scholarships to five worthy candidates (per year). To be eligible, the student must be enrolled (or planning to enroll) in a full or part-time program of studies at any accredited 2 or 4 year post-secondary school; the student’s parent or guardian or grandparent must be a member (or employee of member company) of the Greater Atlanta Electric League (GAEL); the student must plan to attend an accredited four-year college or university the following year.
