Scholarship Fund
Each year GAEL sponsors a Scholarship Fund that supports families of our members. In 2026, we awarded five candidates scholarships of $4,000 each. Additionally, we awarded two scholarships of $1,000 to help support the needs of students entering the trade profession. All funds are directly raised through the Annual Golf Tournament and by the help of our supporters.
In December 2026, we look forward to opening the applications for the 2027 academic year. March 1 is the deadline each year for submitting applications.The Scholarship Applications are available through your company’s voting member.
Eligibility Requirements:

Student must be enrolled (or planning to enroll) in a full or part-time program of studies at any accredited four year post-secondary school.

Student’s parent, guardian or grandparent must be a member (or employee of member company) of the Greater Atlanta Electric League (GAEL).
3
Student must plan to attend an accredited four-year college or university the following year.
